ATA College Prep Spends A Day At Cisco

As part of our What Do You Want To Do series, and by invitation of ATA parent, Andy Raczka, CP students embarked on an informative Friday field trip.

Andy Raczka provided an educational and entertaining snapshot into the life of Cisco, a multi-national, multi-billion dollar company that designs, manufactures and sells computer equipment.  Students began the day gathering in the conference room to sit in on an actual conference call with Cisco clients from around the globe.

Several presentations followed from sales representatives, engineers, on-call troubleshooters, security experts, and technical designers - each allowing Q&A time to satisfy inquiring minds.  After lunch in the employee lounge, students toured the facility, got up close and personal with a room-sized router, and conducted a conference call using Cisco technology.

At the end of the day we reconvened in the conference room to review and discuss the many career fields that make a large company successfully function.

We greatly appreciate the time that Mr Raczka and the Cisco staff spent with our CP students giving them a view into a day in the life at Cisco.
